48.0 MDC Myrtle Access at site of old Stubblefield Ferry on west side. Limited camping.Myrtle Access is 15 miles east of Thayer on Highway 142 and 4 miles south on Route H to the end of the pavement. Barn Hollow Float Camp
This float camp on the left bank of the Eleven Point National Scenic River, a mile below the Horseshoe Bend Float Camp. It is near a loop of the Whites Creek Trail, but access is by river only. There are 4 campsites, 2 of which are group sites.
Camping: The 4 campsites are available on a first-come basis. Each campsite has minimal facilities. No drinking water so bring your own or treat water. There is a centrally located primitive pit toilet. No trash service is provided so all trash must be packed out. No bottles or glass containers are allowed on the river or at camps.
Canoeing: Canoes may be launched anywhere upstream but the closest accesses are Turner Mill about 5 miles and McDowell Primitive Access about 2 miles above Barn Hollow. The nearest takeout point below this camp is Whitten Access, about 1.3 miles.
Fishing: Area is stocked with Rainbow Trout. Fishing require the appropriate licenses and permits and all regulations apply.
How to get here:
From Riverton, MO, take Hwy 160 east to Hwy J; left on J to Forest Road 3152; left to Forest Road 3190; left to Turner Mill North Access (about 5 miles upriver from Barn Hollow Float Camp as access to the camp is only by river).
From Alton, MO, take Hwy 19 north to Hwy AA, east on AA to County 127 to Turner Mill South (also about 5 miles upriver from Barn Hollow Float Camp).
Open year-round. No Fees. Sites are available on a first-come basis. No trash containers; please pack out all your trash.
Whites Creek Trail
Several loop trails and spurs lead you through the beautiful Irish Wilderness.
Trail: Three trailheads serve Whites Creek Trail.
Use: Foot travel, horseback

How to get here:
From Doniphan, MO, take Hwy 160, 18 miles west to Hwy J. Go about 7 miles north on J to Camp Five Pond trailhead.
To get to Brawley Pond trailhead, turn west after Camp Five onto County Road 164. At Wilderness, MO turn west onto gravel County Road 163. Along this road you will come to unmarked junctions, make a left, then a right, and then a left, which is staying on County Road 163 to the trailhead.
Whites Creek trailhead is accessible only from Eleven Point National Scenic River.
No drinking water is available at parking areas or along the trail; bring what you will need, or be prepared to sterilize water you find in the wilderness.
Greer Crossing
This facility is located along the Eleven Point National Scenic River and offers access to the Eleven Point River for boating and fishing. A picnic area is near the boat access. The boating access is one of the most popular launch sites for persons floating the Eleven Point. The campground is set back away from the water’s edge. Two trails are available for hikers.
Campgrounds: 19 single sites, mowed campsites offer seclusion and privacy, each with table, fire ring, and lantern post. Centrally located vault toilets. Drinking water is available May-October 22. Trash bins are available May-October. Nightly fees are $10.
Picnic Area: 8 single sites, each with table, lantern post and grill.
Hiking: A 4-mile trail follows the river and through typical Ozark hills up to McCormack Lake. A 2-mile loop leads the hiker part way to the lake and then back to Greer. This trail runs along the river and then back along the hillside above the river.
Boating, canoeing: Greer is a popular launching location for canoes. Swimming is not regulated. No lifeguard on duty.
Fishing: rainbow trout, small mouth bass, sunfish.
Campground host on site in summer.
How to get here:
From Winona, MO take Hwy 19 south 17 miles to Forest Road 3188, just north of Eleven Point Bridge. A paved road leads to the recreation area. Campground is located beside Eleven Point National Scenic River.
Open year-round; no water or trash containers after 10/22 and before 5/1, please pack out all your trash when no container is available.
Riverton East & West
Riverton is loacated on the Eleven Point Scenic River and Highway 160.
Picnicking: There are 4 picnic sites available, each with a table and pedestal grill. 1 site loacated on the East Side and 3 sites on the west, both sites have a vault toilet. There is no drinking water at either of these sites.
Boating, canoeing: Riverton East has a concrete boat ramp for launching canoes, and launching and removal of john boats.
Fishing: Available fish are rainbow trout, small mouth bass, and sunfish.
How to get there: Located on Highway 160 just below the Eleven Point River Bridge, between Doniphan and Alton, Missouri, (about 13 miles east of Alton, and 25 miles west of Doniphan).
Open year-round. No trash service from fall through spring – please pack out your trash.
