Try Fishing Smaller Waters

For a great getaway from the heavy traffic of Missouri's large impoundments try fishing one of the smaller lakes. There are hundreds small lakes across Missouri with public access for fisherman. Aa couple of my favorites are Council Bluff Lake and 
Desalvo Lake in The Bismark Conservation Area. These are a short drive from my home and have provided many hours of quiet fishing time during the summer months when the big lakes are crowded with pleasure boats. The fishing is usually pretty good too with pleny of crappie , bass , catfish , and bluegill. Check ut our Lakes page to find that spot near you.
